Feathers Land
Chapter One
Rope bound my wrists and ankles and I could taste something in my mouth that
stopped me from making a sound. My vision is a blur so I couldn’t tell where I
am or make out the people around me. I tried to move but I couldn’t. My body
felt numb, in a way that it felt like something was on top of me, but there
wasn’t anything there.
I tried to focus on my hearing, to catch what’s being said. No matter how
hard I focus, I couldn’t hear the words clear enough. They came to me in a
hushed, tangled up way that nothing made sense. My vision started to become
clearer and I could just make out a pair of red eyes staring down at me. I
stopped breathing momentarily and felt something sharp being digged into my
skin. Pain soared through my body and if I could scream, I would. The object
carried on digging it’s way into my skin until the tip of cold plastic hit
against my skin. It was then I realised I had a needle inside me, injecting
something dangerous into my body. Pain continued to soar through my body as
liquid travelled around, hitting the parts it was suppose to hurt. Even when the
needle came out the pain carried on, making my eyes tired, my body even numb
than before. I wasn’t going to allow my eyes to close but the red eyes started
to glow and I wanted to knock them out of site, so in the end they closed but
I’m still with it.
And I wish I wasn’t.
I could feel my trousers being pulled down to my ankles and felt fingers slip
into my knickers. I tried not to flinch as the fingers touched my skin and a
tongue ran itself across my thigh. Everything is rough. The fingers, the tongue.
The movement is soft, careful but daunting. More for me than the one doing it.
My knickers eventually joined my trousers and I waited for something to happen.
And waited. Nothing came.
The gentle breeze played softly with my bare skin and then I realised I could
feel the breeze against my chest. Using my fingers I touched my back. I was
expecting to feel material there, but began to panic when I could feel my skin.
I became aware that I had nothing on. Just because nothing happened this time,
doesn’t mean nothing has.
My eyes snapped opened and my vision is a lot clearer. Stars are twinkling
above me with a bright full moon looking down at me. Fear replaced the pain and
I began to whimper. Which attracted attention. The rope was taken of my ankles
and my legs were pulled apart. I looked down at my body and could only see red
eyes, but I could feel hands on my ankles, tongue on my toes. Then hands went
everywhere. On my face, in my hair, on my breasts, arms, stomach, thighs. Red
eyes are all around me, glowing more brightly by the minute.
Then it felt like the ground was lifting up, like a hidden mountain being
brought up from it’s hiding place. Only the ground went up as high as an inch
and went flat again, sending us into the air for a few short seconds and then we
fell back down with a loud thud.
I landed on my side and saw the red eyes move away into the trees. It looked
like we are on the edge of a forest, the part that wasn’t so over grown. The
grass was half way up the tree trunk and I am surely to get hidden in there.
A pair of feet had appeared into my eye line and I couldn’t help but notice
how dirty the toes were. The toe nails were chipped and some were even a good
two-centimetres long. As my eyes went up I saw hairy legs with a few cuts,
bruises and spots. My eyes stopped a little bit of brown material dangling down
the thigh. The little bit of material was connected to a pair of very tight
shorts that barely covered anything up. The stomach was just as hairy as the
legs, with more cuts and bruises that went up to the neck. The person was thin,
so thin that you can see the lines of the bones. The arms were like sticks with
more cuts and bruises.
I finally got to the face and I’m pleasantly surprised. He had a rounded
head, free of cuts, with jet black hair framing it. The fringe came down to his
eyebrows and the ends continued down to the corner of eyes. His eyes are small
but wide with the colour of royal blue. The nose is thin and pointed, almost
like a coat hook. His mouth was average, as average as a mouth can be. His ears
are small and pointed, like ths nose, but the point is more upwards, like an
elf’s.
It’s like I’ve moved away from reality and entered fantasy land that can only
be created in someone’s mind. And it’s seems I have created this world. For
surely all this is happening in mind. But then, what’s to say it isn’t real?
He started talking in a language I didn’t understand. Whatever he was saying,
it looked like the creature with red eyes are ashamed. For something. What I
didn’t know and didn’t really want to know either.
“Get her up!” He ordered, his voice making me jump.
Two pairs of red eyes came towards me and I felt hands grab my shoulders and
pulled me to my feet. I swayed a little, feeling a little dizzy from the last
injection. I kept my eyes on the man and saw he was holding a weapon like stick
which looked like it has been used a lot.
“Take the rope out!” He ordered.
I felt the knot being untied and the rope was out of my mouth. He took a step
forward and the hands on my shoulders were gone. Four more steps and we are
facing each other, the warmth from his skin caressing mine.
“I’m sorry for the way these creature have treated you.” He said almost in a
whisper. His voice was like velvet, like the gentle rustle of leaves blowing in
the wind. Almost hypnotic.
He clicked his fingers and somewhere from behind him came this beautiful
dress. It’s plan and simple but it shimmers in the moonlight and looks like
silk. He took it into his hands and undid a shoulder strap so it turned into two
parts. He put the dress around me and put the should strap tighter again. It was
silk. If only he had asked them to untie my wrists, the dress would be on
better, but I didn’t mind. I had something on which made me feel more
comfortable.
I couldn’t keep my eyes away from him. His eyes were almost like glass, a
tiny reflection of myself could be seen but it was blurred.
“What’s your name?” He asked
I opened my mouth but no words came out. My mouth was dry and sore and I
closed it, feeling embarrassed.
He only smiled, showing black teeth. “Don’t feel bad my dear. Most people
find their mouths dry after this lot handles them. Come with me and you can eat
and rink as mush as you want.”
I nodded and he placed a hand on my back and stepped to my side. He pointed
his arm out to the direction that we’re walking in, straight ahead. I took the
first step, my legs feeling a little shaky but got stronger with every step.
